Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “your,” “Client”) and Young Fit Life, operated by Melinda Young (“Young Fit Life,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using our website or the Young Fit Life Health Concierge (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who we are and what we are not

Young Fit Life is a nutrition and wellness education service. Melinda Young is a Board Certified Nutritionist with a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition, FDN certification, and WildFit training. She is not a medical doctor, and the Service does not provide medical care.

The Service does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and does not prescribe medications, supplements, or medical interventions. It does not replace care from your own licensed healthcare provider. Please read our Medical Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. The Service

The Service currently includes:
  • Secure storage of the lab records you provide.
  • Ongoing review of lab results you submit.
  • A personal video walkthrough of your blood work.
  • Trend tracking over time.
  • Optional genetic integration when you supply genetic data.
  • Periodic wellness check-in questionnaires.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree that:
  • The information and lab results you submit are your own or that you have the right to share them.
  • You will not rely on the Service in place of care from your own licensed healthcare provider.
  • You will not use the Service in an emergency; if you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.
  • You will keep your login credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
  • You will not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that belongs to another person without permission.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

  • The Service is offered on a monthly or annual subscription.
  • Fees are stated on our pricing page and billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month; annual subscriptions renew automatically each year, unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account or by contacting melinda@youngfitlife.com. Cancellation stops future renewals.
  • Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. 

7. Intellectual property

All content we provide through the Service — including reports, videos, written analysis, templates, questionnaires, and the website itself — is owned by Young Fit Life or its licensors and is provided to you for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publish our content without our written permission. You retain ownership of the health information, lab results, and other data you submit. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and use that information solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Confidentiality and privacy

We treat the personal and health information you share with us as confidential and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. Young Fit Life is not a HIPAA “covered entity” and the Service is not a HIPAA-regulated offering; even so, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information provided will produce any particular health result.

The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, and never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you received through the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Young Fit Life and Melinda Young will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Young Fit Life and Melinda Young from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use may harm you, us, or another person. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, by email or by posting a notice in the Service). Your continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and Young Fit Life agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
